Modern Slavery Policy
1. Policy Statement
Treacle Town Productions is committed to conducting its business ethically and with
integrity.
We have a zero‐tolerance approach to modern slavery in all its forms, including forced
labour, human trafficking, servitude, or coercion.
We are committed to ensuring that modern slavery does not occur in our business
operations or our supply chains, and to acting in a way that upholds human rights and
dignity.
2. Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to:
‐ safeguard against modern slavery occurring in our business or supply chain; ‐ define
responsibilities of Treacle Town Productions, its employees, contractors and suppliers;
‐ ensure awareness and compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (UK);
‐ set out procedures for identifying, preventing, mitigating and reporting risks of modern
slavery.
3. Scope
This policy applies to all employees (permanent, temporary, casual), contractors,
freelancers, interns, volunteers, all operations of Treacle Town Productions, and all
suppliers, vendors, subcontractors, and any third parties we work with, whether in the UK
or overseas.
4. Definitions
Modern Slavery covers offences under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 including slavery,
servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking.
5. Responsibilities
‐ Board / Directors / Senior Management: ensure policy enforcement.
‐ Managers: ensure compliance within their teams.
‐ Employees & Contractors: report concerns and follow policy requirements.
‐ Procurement: include due diligence and compliance checks with suppliers.
6. Risk Assessment & Due Diligence
We will assess risk areas in our operations and supply chains, carry out supplier due
diligence, include compliance clauses in contracts, and monitor suppliers on compliance
through checks and audits.
7. Training & Awareness
Employees will receive training on modern slavery awareness, how to identify risks, and
how to report concerns.
Training will be refreshed periodically.
8. Reporting & Whistleblowing
Staff, contractors, or others working with us can report any concerns regarding modern
slavery without fear of retaliation.
Reports can be made to the designated responsible person. All reports will be investigated
promptly.
9. Remedial Action & Consequences
Where breaches are found, corrective actions may include termination of employment or
supplier contracts. Where appropriate, we will work with suppliers to remediate issues.
10. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) & Monitoring
We will track supplier compliance confirmations, staff training completion, risk
assessments, audits, and any reports raised and their outcomes.
11. Policy Review
This policy will be reviewed annually or sooner if legislation changes, new risks arise, or
investigations highlight weaknesses.
